Job summary

East–West Electric, based in Clearwater, is looking for a recent graduate to join as an entry-level role designed to grow into a Project Manager position. You will learn electrical design, estimation, codes, and project coordination while supporting project managers on active jobs and visiting sites around Florida.

You will gain exposure to budgeting, change orders, and working with crews, GCs, vendors, and clients, with a clear path to leadership and mentorship from a licensed PE on the Gulf

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (recent grads encouraged).
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication.
• Willingness to learn to read construction drawings.
• Valid driver's license; able to travel to job sites.
• A plus: internship/co-op experience, AutoCAD or NEC familiarity, or EIT/PE interest.

Responsibilities

• Support our project managers on active jobs, prepare and track submittals and RFIs, visit job sites to see the work performed, help with material takeoffs and ordering, review plans against code, and coordinate with general contractors and inspectors.

East–West Electric is a Clearwater-based commercial electrical contractor working on projects you can drive past for the rest of your life — marinas, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities across Florida's Gulf Coast. We're hiring a recent graduate who wants to learn the electrical construction business from the ground up. This is a development role designed to grow you into a Project Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

• The technical work — how electrical systems are designed, laid out, and installed
• Project financials — estimating, budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and what drives profit
• Codes — the NEC and Florida Building Code, including marina/marine work (Article 555)
• The contracting industry and the people side — working with crews, GCs, vendors, and clients

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Support our project managers on active jobs, prepare and track submittals and RFIs, visit job sites to see the work performed, help with material takeoffs and ordering, review plans against code, and coordinate with general contractors and inspectors. Regular travel to job sites around Tampa Bay and across Florida (reimbursed).
