Job summary

Josh Pros LLC in Chicago seeks a motivated civil engineer to support transportation projects from our local office. The role involves delivering design and analysis for stormwater, roadway and intersection design, with opportunities to advance to project engineer/manager levels.

The ideal candidate has 4–8 years of civil engineering experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and the ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment. On-site work in Chicago is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

• Experience with federally funded projects.
• Strong grasp of civil engineering methods, tools, and processes with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support civil engineering projects including stormwater, hydraulics, and roadway design.
• Prepare reports and quantities takeoffs; assist with geometry and utilities layout.
• Lead meetings and contribute to corridor development and concept planning.
• Manage budgets and schedules; collaborate with teams across offices.
• Ensure quality on transportation design deliverables.

About the Job: The client is seeking a motivated and talented engineer with strong transportation experience in our Chicago office. The ideal candidate will be capable of supporting projects at the project engineer or project manager level by supporting the development of a growing transportation portfolio.

This opportunity allows the selected candidate to work as part of a broad national team with offices in Denver and Dallas-Fort Worth, as well. Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate is motivated, ambitious, and has a strong grasp of civil engineering methods, tools, and processes with limited supervision.
• Experience working with federally funded projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• At least 4-8 years of civil engineering experience (P.E. preferred but not required for candidate consideration)
