Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Southwest is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team to coordinate projects from kickoff to completion. You will act as the onsite point of contact for inquiries, coordinate with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal staff, and ensure timely transmission of paperwork into project management systems.

The role requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent, plus 6 months to 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as onsite focal point for inquiries (RFI, ASI) and other critical tasks.
• Keep project managers informed of responses and escalation of unresolved issues.
• Prepare, organize, and electronically transfer project paperwork to Project Coordinator for upload into project management software.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries with jobsite foremen and schedule with Intel security.
• Coordinate collection of operation and maintenance manual information for distribution to project coordinator.
• Copy vendors, subcontractors, and internal customers on proposed changes, RFIs, and ASIs.
• Prepare and secure transmittals for all items sent from the office.
• Attend various meetings (head start, turnover, PM, production).
• Assist in processing time & material billings and monthly AIA billings reviews.
• Attend monthly projection meetings with the PM.
• Review spec sheets, assist in subcontractor control, and manage rentals for projects.
• Fill out and log daily plans of action (POA) and safety paperwork as required.

• Keep project managers informed of all responses and the escalation of any unresolved issues.
• Ensure proper preparation, organization, and electronic transfer of project paperwork to Project Coordinator for download into project management software.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries with jobsite foremen and schedule deliveries with Intel security.
• Coordinate collection of operation and maintenance manual information for distribution to project Coordinator for assembly.
• Copy vendors, subcontractors, and internal customers on proposed changes, RFIs, and ASIs.
• Prepare and secure transmittals for all items sent from the office.

Essential Skills
