Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking a Project Engineer for our Transportation division in Burnsville, NC. You will support the project team with daily coordination, manage procurement, QA/QC, subcontractor coordination, and surveying to keep projects on track.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ years of experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Some roles may require relocation as projects vary across divisions and locations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in construction or project engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Internship, co-op, or prior employment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.).
• Assisting and supporting project team with daily project coordination.
• Procurement of construction materials.
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks.
• Coordination of subcontractors.
• Survey and project layout.
• Weekly pictures for progress reports.
• Manage construction equipment.
• Safety management.
• Project estimating.
