GE Aerospace is seeking a Project Engineer in Bohemia, NY to lead and perform hands-on engineering—from design through test—while guiding multidisciplinary teams through analysis, manufacturing, and validation. The role includes solving complex propulsion challenges with autonomy under defined policies and program requirements.
You will manage risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver technical scope across advanced hypersonic propulsion programs, with certain postings in Rockledge, FL.
At GE Aerospace, we are advancing aviation technologies for today and tomorrow. Your work will contribute to the production of advanced jet engines, components, and integrated systems that power commercial and military aircraft. You will be part of a team that embraces your drive, your curiosity, and your unique ideas and perspectives. Most importantly, you will share in our pride and purpose that affects the lives of millions around the world.
This is a project lead and individual contributor role at the center of hypersonic propulsion development. As Project Engineer, you will work with the Program Manager to lead the design and development of advanced hypersonic propulsion systems, owning both the technical scope and the project objectives so that every program requirement is delivered. You will work with autonomy, guided by established policies and review of end results, and you will plan and run project operations while staying hands-on in your technical discipline.
You are an engineer who can lead a project and still do the technical work yourself. You are analytical, you challenge existing processes, and you think critically about hard problems. You are comfortable owning a technical scope from design through test, spotting risks before they grow, and bringing a clear recommendation to the table. You work well with autonomy, you explain technical data clearly to customers, and you pull multidisciplinary teams toward a common goal.
