The Project Engineer at Baker Gulf Coast Industrial, LLC supports field activities and assists the Project Manager with project administration on multiple small projects or one medium to large project. You will manage the job transition, help control cost and schedule, evaluate constructability, quality, safety, and procurement, and ensure regulatory compliance.

• 1–3 years of experience in industrial construction, deep foundations or related heavy civil work.
• BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Bluebeam preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and distribute contract documents, addenda, field orders, RFIs and RFPs.
• Develops and manages the project schedule on small or mid-sized projects.
• Review and track shop drawings and submittals for specification compliance.
• Support project quality control efforts, including deviation reports, pre-pour inspections, and testing requirements.
• Assist in preparing proposals and owner change order requests, including pricing of self-perform work.
• Maintain 'As-Built' drawings and prepare project close-out documentation.
• Collaborates with pre-construction and the project team to manage the job transition process, communicate project requirements, and develop the initial procurement plans, budgets, etc.
• Collect and organize O&M manuals, guarantees, and warranties.
• Works with the Project Manager to approve and code project invoices
• Help maximize efficiency and quality through effective use of self-perform work.

Summary

The Project Engineer supports field activities and spends a majority of time working with the Project Manager supporting project administration on multiple small projects, or one medium to large-size projects. Activities include managing the job transition process; and supporting the management of cost and schedule, constructability, technical evaluations, quality, safety, work planning, procurement, contract management, regulatory compliance, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in industrial construction, deep foundations or related heavy civil work.
• BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Working knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and safety protocols.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Bluebeam preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Adhere to developing daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as required
