Job summary

HVJ Associates is seeking a Project Engineer to support geotechnical projects in Texas. You will prepare high-quality reports addressing project requirements within schedule, budget, and design constraints, while guiding field and lab work and coordinating with clients.

The role requires 5+ years in geotechnical engineering with MSCE (or 10+ years with BSCE) and a Texas PE or eligibility within 6 months, plus strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• MSCE with at least 5 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience, or BSCE with at least 10 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience.
• Must have Professional Engineer license in the State of Texas or should be able to obtain Texas PE license within 6 months of employment.
• Experience In Transportation, City and Municipality Projects Is A Plus.
• Experience with Central and South-Central Texas Geology and Soil Condition Is A Plus.
• Experience with conventional and advanced geotechnical testing and data interpretations.
• Knowledgeable on routinely used geotechnical software.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
• Position will require to be a team player.

• Position will require the candidate to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized and have a keen sense of detail.
• Position will require to work with supporting staffs, managers and clients; and therefore, the candidate needs to be a team player.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses and valid right to work documents.
