Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company seeks a seasoned Project Director to lead a Milwaukee-based energy storage project. You will drive strategy, execution, and cross-functional leadership, overseeing budgets, schedules, and stakeholder engagement for a major ESS initiative.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of senior program management, EPC experience in renewables, and a track record of delivering complex energy storage projects with strong commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in project, program, business, or financial management.
• Strong leadership experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with EPC contracts and renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
• MBA or additional commercial/business qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall project execution, strategy, and operational performance.
• Develop and manage project plans covering resources, quality, communications, risk, and commercial strategy.
• Oversee project budget, forecasting, financial performance, and cash flow.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary project team.
• Manage relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Finance, Contract Management, Sourcing, Quality, and Operations teams.
• Establish project priorities and drive performance against KPIs.
• Lead monthly project reviews and provide accurate financial and operational reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and project best practices.
• Support customer relationships and commercial/claims strategy.
• Ensure strong compliance, quality, and EHS performance across the project.

Project Director – Milwaukee, WI | Energy Storage

We are partnering with a global energy storage organization on a major utility-scale energy storage project and are looking to identify an experienced Project Director to lead the project through its next phase.

This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for the commercial, operational, financial, and project delivery performance of a major Energy Storage System (ESS) project.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall project execution, strategy, and operational performance
• Develop and manage project plans covering resources, quality, communications, risk, and commercial strategy

Ideal Background
