Job summary

Worley is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead complex EPC/EPCM initiatives, including LNG, Offshore, Topsides, and Power Generation projects. The role involves directing project goals, aligning with contractual obligations, and driving cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have a university degree, PM certification, and extensive experience managing large-scale, high-risk programs in multi-national environments.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent in a related field; professional registration in local jurisdiction; PM certification (IPMA, PMI, APM, or similar).
  • Demonstrated supervisory and project management experience; EPCM/EPC assignments; multi-national environments.
  • Experience leading large or mega projects with high risk; complex commercial engagements and joint ventures.

Purpose:

Required to have project leadership experience in one or more of the following areas: Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC); Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG); Offshore/Topsides; or Power Generation.

Provides direction and project management to ensure project completion in accordance with contractual obligations. Defines project goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of customer objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Plans, organizes, manages, and controls projects with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the Worley. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders. Project managers will exhibit leadership skills necessary to achieve project goals.

Typically manages a single large or mega project or multiple, complex projects/programs with some high risk elements. Ability to visualize and design new concepts and ideas related to technical/functional projects. Broad knowledge of business operations and ability to implement and sometimes lead organizational change effectively within project scope. Solutions are derived from interpreted and applied general information and consultation with other individuals. Typically manages work directly through project leads or other project managers. Often serve as a proposal manager for large and mega projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Makes independent decisions and recommendations in the course of managing a significant size project. Decisions are for long-range planning, coordination, and technical decisions that can be either specific and/or far-reaching. Develops and oversees implementation of strategic programs and policies for their groups, which may impact the region, location or large project. Ability to manage multiple complex projects through others.
  • Operates with broad management authority, receiving minimal technical guidance and control. Limited only by project objectives and policies of the organization. Work is reviewed to ensure project direction meets customer standards.
  • Assigns project work and gives technical guidance to people assigned to work on large to mega sized projects. Reviews work for technical accuracy and adequacy. May have direct and indirect reports and authority for performance evaluations impacting pay. May make recommendations concerning selection, training, rating and discipline of people.
  • Expert understanding of broader systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to teach and help others. Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint. Can organize information from many sources and retain as per the prescribed format and policies.
  • May be involved in the development of new systems, processes and tools; Competent in Microsoft Access and Visio.
Qualifications:
  • University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Professional registration in local jurisdiction; Certified Program Management Professional by a globally recognized project management organization (IPMA, APM, PMI, AIPM).
  • Relevant supervisory experience, project management and/or technical experience; Workshare experience; EPCM, EPC including site assignments; Multi-Cultural / Multi-National environments.
  • Demonstrated PM experience leading large and mega projects with high risk; Complex commercial engagements for project delivery including joint ventures.
