The Project Director – Systems Integration is a key part of the Amtrak team delivering the $16B Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). This Director will plan for and lead the integration of all Hudson Tunnel subsystems into the existing Northeast Corridor and New York Penn Station infrastructure as part of the Amtrak HTP Systems & Fit‑Out team. The individual will have strong knowledge of railroad operations, SCADA, and Rail Systems disciplines. Key responsibilities include development of plans for Rail Activation and Safety Certification, and subsequent leadership of activities necessary for ultimate commissioning of the Hudson Tunnel. The individual in this role uses advanced knowledge of systems engineering, project management processes and controls to accomplish project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities. The role requires regular analytical and metrics-based reporting to Senior staff, Executive Governance Committees, and external stakeholders.
The salary/hourly range is $163,000.00 – $211,140.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
