Job summary

Struction Solutions seeks a Project Development Manager to oversee planning and execution of new school construction and modernization projects. You will manage scope, schedules, and budgets while coordinating across stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities include leading pre-construction activities, supervising PM staff, monitoring budgets, and supporting contract administration with A/E teams. Experience with CEQA/LEED/CHPS is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience managing capital project planning, design, and construction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Preferred: California Registered Architect, Professional Engineer (PE), CCM, or LEED Accreditation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate pre-construction activities, ensuring projects meet budget, schedule, and scope requirements.
  • Manage multiple school projects, resolving complex planning, design, and construction issues.
  • Supervise and evaluate Assistant Facility Development Managers (AFDMs), Design Managers (DMs), and design professionals.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and overall progress, providing reports to key stakeholders.
  • Support A/E contract administration and bid planning, review contract scopes, fees, and payment applications, and provide fiscal oversight for multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with government and utility agencies to facilitate project approvals and completion.
  • Support project compliance with applicable environmental and agency requirements, with preferred experience involving CEQA, LEED, CHPS, and major public-facility a
  • Coordinate project activities with internal departments, including Environmental Health & Safety, Design & A/E Technical Support, and Facilities Contract Administration.
  • Develop internal policies and procedures to improve project efficiency.
