ABOUT THE ROLE
You will play a key role in the design process, translating ideas into built environment solutions, and providing project design leadership across multiple projects. You will also help nurture and develop team members and advocate for design excellence within your team and office.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Collaborate with design leaders and team members to conceptualize and develop design solutions throughout all project phases, creating innovative concepts that reflect our clients' culture, goals, and aspirations.
- Support senior design leaders by translating shared design goals and ideas, focusing on schematic design and development, and guiding detailing and construction documentation in collaboration with project architects. Provide design intent guidance during construction.
- Prepare and lead client presentation materials, including 2D and 3D visualizations, and conduct design presentations as needed.
- Work closely with interior designers and typology experts to develop holistic exterior and interior design solutions.
- Coordinate with technical leaders and engineers to consider building systems and ensure design intent across disciplines.
- Integrate sustainable and performance-based design strategies, supporting energy modeling efforts.
- Apply these approaches to large-scale or multiple projects simultaneously.
- Mentor emerging professionals and foster a collaborative, innovative, and entrepreneurial environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
- Architectural registration in the U.S. preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical knowledge of materials and building assemblies.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines and perform with a high degree of autonomy.
- Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; experience with Rhino, Enscape, Twinmotion, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
- Experience with computational design tools like Grasshopper and Dynamo is a plus.
