The role involves responding to post-delivery technical issues and collaborating with architects, engineers, and facilities planners. The position may be remote for the right candidate and requires health-care design experience, strong communication, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program is desired.
  • Minimum 5 years of health care experience.
  • Hybrid OR project design and planning.
  • 5–10 years of experience developing details and providing planning and design support for construction documents.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience using AutoCAD; Revit desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project design and develop creative design concepts; prepare presentations and drawings.
  • Develop site planning and design drawings and details.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Program Management, Clinical Applications Specialists, and Customer Service to meet requirements and address issues.
  • Provide design input for order execution and installation.
  • Ensure quality and risk management across Customer Engineering tasks.
  • Maintain design templates and planning documents.

We are currently searching for a Project Designer to join our team. While the ideal candidate will be located in the Twin Cities Greater Metropolitan area near our headquarters, we are willing to consider a fully remote arrangement for the right candidate.

JOB SUMMARY

The Project Designer is responsible for supporting Sales and Program Management teams by qualifying accounts, developing and drafting AutoCAD plan proposals, preparing solution-based product presentations and demonstrations, and delivering proof of concepts and detailed system designs, which meet customer requirements. The Project Designer is also responsible for responding to customer post-delivery technical issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinates project design, develops creative-design concepts for projects, and prepares presentation and design drawings. Works independently on architectural design projects and often coordinates project design efforts.
  • Develops site planning and creative-design concepts for projects. Prepares presentation and design drawings and details.
  • Collaborates within IMRIS and provide professional technical and design support to:
    • Sales Directors during the Sales Cycle to define specific IMRIS intraoperative system solutions to meet prospective customer needs and increase the probability of securing customer orders.
    • Program Managers during the Program Execution Cycle to ensure that all system design, installation and operational issues are successfully addressed to meet contractual requirements;
    • Clinical Application Specialists to guarantee optimal clinical workflow in the design; and
    • Customer Service and customers directly in response to technical design and system operational issues during the Support Cycle.
  • Provides professional support to and in collaboration with customer appointed architects, engineers and facility planners in the detailed planning of delivering IMRIS intraoperative systems.
  • Responsible for quality and risk management of all IMRIS activities associated with assigned Customer Engineering tasks consistent with company objectives.
  • Develops and maintains product specific design drawing templates and site planning documents.
  • Identifies, leads, and executes strategies within Customer Engineering and across Program Management and R&D.
  • Provides design input to new product development to ensure products and processes meet Customer Engineering design and planning requirements; accountable for department deliverables, design transfer, and integration of new products into Customer Engineering.
  • Develops consistent design delivery and project planning processes and procedures that meet quality system standards.
  • Exhibits conduct consistent with company values and traits.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
  • Reports to VP of Global Commercial & Sales
  • This position requires minimal supervision.
  • Will consider remote position for the right candidate
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program desired.
  • Minimum 5 years of health care experience.
  • Hybrid OR project design and planning.
  • Requires substantial experience (5 to 10 years) in developing details and providing planning and design support in the preparation of construction documents.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience using AutoCAD. Revit experience desirable.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Proficient written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Excellent team player, good listening skills.
