Job summary

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services, LLC in Montclair, CA is seeking a dedicated Janitorial Crew Member to help maintain clean, safe workplaces. You will perform floors cleaning, carpet care, window washing, trash collection, restroom cleaning, and other maintenance duties in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires flexibility to work days/nights and weekends, travel to different sites within a region, and a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning and maintenance.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques for vinyl, tile, carpet, concrete, and wood.
• Ability to travel to various work sites and drive between locations.
• Ability to work nights, days, and weekends; flexible schedule.
• Present and maintain a valid driver license; read safety docs in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean hard surface floors; sanitize, scrub, strip and finish.
• Scrub and burnish gymnasium floors and other surfaces.
• Steam-clean or shampoo carpets and extract carpet with extractor.
• Wash windows and polish fixtures; dust furniture and equipment.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms; remove trash and maintain cleanliness.
• Notify managers about major repairs; requisition supplies and equipment.
• Back up for crew members; occasional overnight shifts and travel within 4–5 states.

Work Schedule: Days/nights vary, including weekends

Shifts Available:

4:00am-11:00am

10:00pm-6:00am

Starting Pay: $17.71

Summary of duties:

• Clean hard surface floors (Sanitize, scrub, strip and finish)
• Scrub and burnish special floor surfaces (e.g. Gymnasium floors)
• Steam-clean or shampoo carpets
• Extract carpet using carpet extractor
• Wash windows
• Pressure wash floor/building using pressure washer
• Minor wall repairs
• Gather and empty trash
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
• Back up for crew members in territory when needed
• Potential for extensive driving- often within a radius of four to five states. Occasional overnight shifts may be required

Requirements for our Project Crew Member Position:

• Experience in building and warehouse cleaning and maintenance work
• Knowledge of proper floor care techniques for a variety of floor types (e.g., vinyl, tile, carpet, concrete, hardwood)
• Ability to travel (drive) to various work sites
• Ability to work nights/days and weekends
• Present and maintain valid driver license
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required).
