Job summary

Key responsibilities include forecasting from sales handover, cost control, variance analysis, and preparing proposals. Collaboration across departments and ongoing professional development are emphasized within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Experience in project controls, finance, and budgeting.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial data interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in Government Contracting is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Excel, Access, Word, Project, SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Creation of initial project forecast from participation in the Sales to Contract Execution handover.
  • Perform complex tasks in project estimating, change documentation, and cost control.
  • Monthly and quarterly forecast preparation: reconciling budget versus actuals and analyzing variances, risks, and opportunity tracking.
  • Report to portfolio level on forecast variances and manage changes to cost on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Analyze and track change requests/variation orders received from customers.
  • Assist with sales planning and billings to customers.
  • Manage multiple projects with budgets ranging from $500K to $100MM+.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets/forecasts and review actual performance.
  • Preparation of proposal and claim packages.
  • Representing the Project Manager in their absence.

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Controller with a background in Finance, Budgeting and project financial reporting. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on budgets, managing actuals against original budget plans and cost to come.
