Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Project Controls Analyst to support a nationwide initiative consisting of over 100 traveling field technicians and a growing operational support organization.

This individual will serve as the financial and project controls lead for the program, ensuring accurate client invoicing, cost tracking, financial reporting, compliance, and performance monitoring across labor, travel, fleet, tooling, PPE, training, and other program-related expenses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project cost tracking and logging.
• Experience linking costs to project management activities.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting for large projects.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and SOX compliance.
• Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the financial and project controls lead for the program across labor, travel, fleet, tooling, PPE, training and related expenses.
• Manage client billing, invoicing, validation and submission to contract requirements.
• Track and manage budgets, forecasts, and actual costs for the program.
• Monitor financial performance, variances, risks, trends and opportunities.
• Ensure SOX compliance, internal controls and audit readiness.
• Support PO tracking, accruals, expense reconciliation, and financial documentation.

• 3+ years of experience in project cost tracking & logging
• Specifically have experience with marrying costs to project management behaviors
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting for large-scale programs or projects
• Strong understanding of financial reporting compliance and SOX compliance
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis
• HSD/GED minimum

Plusses:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Project Controls, Construction Management or related field
• Experience supporting field services, construction, energy, engineering, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects

Insight Global is seeking a Project Controls Analyst to support a nationwide initiative consisting of over 100 traveling field technicians and a growing operational support organization. This individual will serve as the financial and project controls lead for the program, ensuring accurate client invoicing, cost tracking, financial reporting, compliance, and performance monitoring across labor, travel, fleet, tooling, PPE, training, and other program-related expenses. The ideal candidate will understand how project execution impacts cost performance and be able to translate operational data into actionable financial insights for program leadership. The ideal candidate will be able to connect financial performance to operational activities, translating project execution data into actionable cost, compliance and business insights.

• Manage client billing, invoice creation, validation, and submission while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Track and manage program budgets, forecasts, and actual costs across labor, travel, fleet, tooling, PPE, training, and operational expenses.
• Monitor project financial performance and identify cost variances, risks, trends, and opportunities impacting program profitability.
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, financial reporting standards, and audit requirements.
• Support purchase order tracking, accruals, expense reconciliation, financial documentation, and audit readiness.

Compensation:

$44/hr to $46/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
