Florida Department of Transportation is seeking a PROJECT COST ACCOUNTANT to support the Office of Comptroller in Tallahassee. The role focuses on federal project cost analysis, reconciliation of costs, and timely closure of federal programs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with district and FAMO teams, maintaining final voucher data, and ensuring accurate cost distributions for MSI and MEQ. A two-year accounting/auditing background is required.

Competenze

• Two years of work-related experience in an accounting or auditing related field; college degree substitution allowed on a year-for-year basis.

Mansioni

• Analyze federal projects and related financial projects for all funding sources and make final billing adjustments to close federal projects in FMIS.
• Reconcile participating and nonparticipating costs for expenditures, retainage and revenue in PCM to FPM by federal fund.
• Coordinate authorization requests with Districts and FAMO; analyze eligible indirect costs for federal projects.
• Monitor corrections of Project Cost Errors (PCEC) in PCM for Districts and Central Office; submit weekly correction file requests.
• Track federal projects in Ready Final Voucher status and maintain the FV system with current information.
• Analyze and correct MSI and MEQ cost distributions; coordinate with offices for corrections and batch input error resolutions.
