Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating APP onboarding and new hire orientation programs, including scheduling, logistics, educational materials, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Supporting planning and execution of APP recognition initiatives, appreciation events, leadership programs, and engagement activities.
  • Assisting with the coordination of recurring educational programs, conferences, and professional development opportunities for APPs.
  • Developing presentations, dashboards, reports, newsletters, and other communication materials that highlight APP achievements and organizational impact.
  • Organizing and maintaining shared mailbox and folders, SharePoint, TEAMS, Webex recordings/transcripts, and communicating resource support using a variety of technology platforms.
  • Supporting creation of the annual APP Impact Report, including data collection, project management, visual content development, and dissemination.
  • Assisting with labor review, workforce planning activities, and tracking key metrics related to APP operations and growth.
  • Coordinating meetings, maintaining project timelines, documenting action items, and ensuring follow-through on deliverables.
  • Creating visually engaging materials, infographics, and communication tools to support educational, operational, and recognition initiatives.
  • Support multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and supporting initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of APP programs and services.

Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Center is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Project Coordinator to support strategic initiatives that impact more than 800 Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Certified Nurse Midwives, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioners, and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists) serving patients across UNC Medical Center and its affiliated clinical programs.


This unique role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of provider engagement, professional development, workforce strategy, operational excellence, and system-wide APP initiatives. The Project Coordinator serves as a key partner to APP Center leadership and collaborates with stakeholders across multiple departments to coordinate projects that enhance the APP experience and support organizational goals.

Incentive

$3,000 Commitment Incentive paid out in 6 installments over 3 years.


Responsibilities

Preferences


  • Prefer candidates who have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and strong overall technical aptitude, including the ability to learn and effectively use new software and digital collaboration platforms.

  • Associate's degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.


Licensure/Certification Requirements


  • No licensure or certification required.


Professional Experience Requirements


  • If Bachelors, 1 year of administrative/office support or 6 months of project related support.

  • If an Associates degree, three (3) years of experience providing project-related support.

  • If a high school diploma/GED, seven (7) years of experience providing project-related support.
