Project Controls Staff Overview
The Project Controls staff is responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive scheduling activities to ensure efficient project management and delivery. Collaborating closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, they develop, monitor, and update project schedules while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of detailed project schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to manage scope, milestones, and deliverables.
- Design project schedules with logically linked activities, ensuring appropriate predecessors and successors to avoid relationship lags.
- Advise on the validation of quantity take‑offs and review contract documents for means and methods to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Implement and maintain project documentation, including change orders, to reflect current status and requirements.
- Strategize the inclusion of vendor quotes with time estimates into project schedules to align with project timelines.
- Track procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Advise on technical requirements and identify ambiguous items in contract documents, recommending clarification and resolution.
- Implement project schedules based on Critical Chain Methodology (CCM) to optimize timelines and resource utilization.
- Mentor junior team members in scheduling processes, procedures, and software tools to enhance capabilities and support growth.
- Produce baseline‑vs‑actual schedule reports, monthly schedule narratives, and project recovery schedules.
- Provide detailed analysis of schedule performance, including earned value management (EVM) metrics and forecasts.
- Manage pending and approved change orders within project schedules, assessing impacts on timelines and costs.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience with a High School Diploma
- 6+ years of experience with an Associate degree
- 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree

- Project Management Software (PM Online) – In‑house Software.
- AS400 (internal) CMMS software
- Primavera P6 software

Pay Range: USD $90,640.00 - USD $135,960.00 /Yr.
