MidAmerican Energy Company is seeking a Lead Project Controls Specialist to provide planning, scheduling, cost control and project direction for outages and major projects. You will develop achievable schedules based on resources and constraints.
The role requires experience with scheduling logic, earned value analysis, risk assessment, and reporting. Strong communication and leadership are essential to guide project managers and stakeholders.
The Lead Project Controls Specialist provides planning, scheduling, cost control, direction and other project controls functions for scheduled maintenance outages or other major projects. Responsible for developing achievable project schedules based on resource availability and constraints.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent through experience (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree) SIx years of related experience Project Management Professional certification is preferred. Extensive practical experience with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access), Primavera Project Planner (P6), and Oracle WAM Experience in a maintenance planning role is preferred. Prior experience in and specialized knowledge of the operation and maintenance at an electric generating station is preferred for roles in outage work. Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Knowledge of outage project plans for roles in outage work. Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
