Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking a Planning & Scheduling professional to support large EPC projects in the metals & mining sector. You will contribute to the Project Controls Team, performing planning activities and ensuring schedule integrity across assigned projects.

The role requires experience with CPM scheduling, schedule updates, change management, and analysis of schedule data to drive corrective actions. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Accredited four-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management with four years of related experience, or eight years if non-degreed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and time-conscious work style.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the Work Breakdown and Schedule Coding Structures for control and integrity of work as defined by the contract.
  • Build logic driven schedules using CPM.
  • Manage and mitigate schedule changes/adherence.
  • Identify trends and deviations; recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain the project schedule program and prepare schedule status reports.
  • Participate in change management; analyze schedule impact.
  • Analyze schedule data and resolve variances from the baseline.
  • Ensure conformance with Fluor project execution practices.

Job Description

This position is responsible for performing Planning & Scheduling activities for Large EPC projects in the metals & mining sector. As a member of the Project Controls Team, you will assist in the preparation of Project Controls activities for a projects or assignments.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the Work Breakdown and Schedule Coding Structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract
  • Building logic driven schedules using CPM
  • Manage and mitigate schedule change/schedule adherence
  • Identify trends and deviations and recommend corrective courses of action
  • Maintain the established project schedule program and prepare schedule status reports
  • Participate in the change management process, identifying schedule impact analysis
  • Analyze schedule data and proactively seek resolution to variances from the project baseline
  • Ensure project conforms with Fluor project execution practices
  • Other related duties may be assigned
Basic Job Requirements
  • Accredited four (4) year degree in Engineering or Construction Management or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
  • Experience with Schedule updates, revisions, and recovery or acceleration plans
  • Prior experience managing schedule change management
  • Ability to analyze schedule data and proactively find resolution to variances from the project baseline
  • Experience Identifying trends and deviations and recommending corrective courses of action
  • Knowledge of resource loading, leveling and schedule analysis
  • Willing to do business trips to project sites or accept field assignments
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or other scheduling software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience with Acumen Fuse
