Job summary

CorSource is seeking a Project Controls Professional III in Richland, WA to support capital and O&M projects with robust scheduling, cost control, and reporting. You will build Level 1–4 Primavera P6 schedules, integrate cost data, and provide timely reports to project managers and leaders.

You should have strong EVMS knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and proven ability to manage complex schedules across teams. This contract role includes travel as needed and a 4x10 schedule on site.

Qualifications

• Formal training on Primavera P6 or another PM system.
• Experience in industrial project controls environment with strong EVMS knowledge.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated analytical, detail-oriented, time-management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop project estimates and detailed schedules; manage cost/schedule changes.
• Provide independent project controls oversight and risk identification.
• Produce earned value and schedule metrics for leadership review.
• Enter monthly schedule updates and support vendor/contractor integration.
• Support ETCs and governance processes to maintain baselines.

In this role, you’ll support capital and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects by providing independent project controls oversight within Corporate Finance—helping project teams identify risk early, maintain accurate forecasts, and keep scope, schedule, and costs aligned.

Overview

We’re seeking a Project Controls Professional III to support capital and O&M project teams in Richland, WA. You’ll coordinate and execute project estimates, develop detailed schedules, and provide timely reporting on schedule/scope/cost changes to project managers and leadership. Business travel may be authorized by the technical representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and partner with assigned project teams
• Build Level 1–4 detailed project implementation schedules using Primavera P6
• Integrate cost estimates and schedules into logic-tied, resource-loaded cost flow projections
• Analyze schedule deviations and flag potential cost/schedule impacts
• Evaluate real-time cost data and recommend corrective actions to reduce overruns
• Partner with project managers to build accurate Estimates to Completion (ETCs)
• Produce earned value, schedule metrics, and financial health reporting
• Track budget changes and communicate impacts to Finance stakeholders
• Maintain baseline schedule updates as approved through governance processes
• Enter monthly schedule status updates in P6 and support integrated schedule development with vendors/contractors
• Process journal entries for accruals and mischarge transfers as needed
• Perform schedule/data consistency reviews and support continuous improvement through lessons learned

Must-Have Qualifications

• Formal training on Primavera P6 or another project management system
• One of the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of project controls/project management experience (industrial environment), or
  • Associate degree + 9 years of experience, or
  • High School diploma/GED + 11 years of experience
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management and project controls practices
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

Nice-to-Have

• Experience presenting to groups and supporting stakeholder-facing project reviews
• Experience performing variance analysis and developing integrated schedules across multiple teams
