Project Controls Manager (Risk) - US, Illinois - 12-24 Month Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Controls Manager (Risk) to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Illinois. This is a large-scale greenfield capital project investing more than $1bn.

What you'll do
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the project risk register in alignment with owner governance requirements.
  • Facilitate regular risk identification and mitigation workshops with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls teams.
  • Quantify risks through probabilistic analysis (cost and schedule) using industry-standard tools (e.g., @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis).
  • Support the development of contingency and management reserve recommendations.
  • Prepare monthly risk reports, highlighting top risks, trends, and mitigation progress.
  • Collaborate with estimating, scheduling, procurement, and change management to align risk data with cost and schedule forecasts.
  • Ensure lessons learned and risk intelligence are documented and communicated across the program.
What you'll need
