Job summary

Linesight is hiring a Project Controls Manager on a full-time, onsite basis at a project site in Vacaville, CA. The role focuses on cost control, scheduling, and estimating, with responsibilities spanning bid assessment, forecasting, and risk management to ensure project value and client satisfaction.

You will lead on-site cost controls, collaborate with engineers and contractors, and communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in project controls roles including cost control, scheduling and estimating.
• Degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships with team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assess engineer and contractor bids, change notices and costs for best value.
• Assist in preparing client project funding documents.
• Be a visible leader onsite and assess progress.
• Create and manage cost forecasts for key client developments.
• Negotiate agreements with external partners on pricing.
• Manage and monitor project schedules; report schedule exceptions.
• Prepare owner estimates and lead estimate review meetings.
• Lead risk management efforts and reviews; support final reconciliation of contracts and purchase orders.
• Update partners with monthly executive/project status reports and risks.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Assess engineer and contractor bids, change notices and costs to ensure best value for clients
• Assist in preparing client project funding documents
• Be a visible leader onsite, assessing engineer and contractor progress
• Create and manage cost forecasts for key client developments
• Expertly negotiate agreements with pricing agreements with external partners
• Manage and monitor project schedules, reporting on exceptions to the plan
• Prepare owner estimates and lead estimate review meetings
• Proactively lead risk management efforts and reviewsSupport the final reconciliation of contracts and purchase orders
• Update key partners with monthly executive and project status reports, project schedule updates, and project risks

Work Environment

• This is a full time onsite position at project site in Vacaville, CA.

The Salary range for this role is $125,000.00 - $175,000.00 USD but actual salary offered is dependent upon experience, education and skillset.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.
