ACCIONA Construction USA is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Manager for the SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta, GA. You will lead planning, scheduling, cost management, and performance monitoring across complex civil works, coordinating with project teams and executives to keep work on schedule and within budget.

You will implement policies, develop integrated cost/schedule reporting, identify risks, and guide a team of project controls professionals.

• Past experience on managing schedule on complex civil engineering projects is essential.
• Demonstrated skill in cost management.
• The ability to present complex data clearly to executives is essential.
• Excellent organization and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee Project Controls policies and procedures across projects.
• Develop integrated cost and schedule reports.
• Identify and manage Schedule and Cost Control risk.
• Provide regular reports to the Project and Executive teams on schedule and cost performance.
• Manage Project Controls staff to ensure timely, accurate status reports.
• Perform trend analysis and delay recovery identification.
• Oversee and support project control and schedule teams for early issue detection and recovery planning.
• Engage with Bid teams, Joint Venture partners and Executive team on Project Controls matters.
• Advise on Project Controls strategy for successful project execution.

ACCIONA Construction USA, part of the SR 400 Peach Partners consortium, have been awarded the contract to design and construct the SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta, Georgia. This $4.6 billion project, awarded by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), is a key public-private partnership aimed at addressing congestion on a major highway in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

The Project Controls Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing project controls systems, including planning, scheduling, cost management, and performance monitoring for construction projects. This role involves coordinating with project teams, providing insights into project performance, and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Implementation and management of Project Controls policies and procedures across projects.
• Development of integrated cost and schedule reports.
• Identification and management of Schedule and Cost Control risk.
• Providing regular reports to the Project team and Executive team on schedule and cost performance.
• Manage Project Controls staff to ensure timely accurate status reports.
• Trend analysis and delay recovery identification.
• Overseeing, directing and supporting the project control and schedule teams to ensure early problem identification and the development of recovery plans.
• Command the respect of the Bid teams, Joint Venture partners and Executive team on Project Controls matters.
• Advise on Project Controls strategy for successful project execution.
• Provide Project Controls start-up services which may involve extended periods on site whilst systems are established and implemented.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Past experience on managing schedule on complex civil engineering projects is essential.
• Demonstrated skill in cost management.
• The ability to be able to present complex data in a consistent, concise easy to understand format and to be able to communicate at executive level is essential.
• Excellent organization and people skills.
• Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills are essential.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Minimum of 15+ years experience on heavy civil projects required.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• Previous international experience with major contractors and joint ventures preferred.
