Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a driven Project Controls Specialist Student to gain real-world experience in earned value management and scheduling. You will assist in developing baselines, collecting cost/schedule data, and supporting financial controls under supervision.

Under direct supervision, you will work with the project team to monitor progress, prepare routine cost/schedule reports, and ensure adherence to procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently enrolled and taking courses towards a Masters degree.
• Basic understanding of Earned Value Management and Project Scheduling principles is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop basic cost and schedule baselines under supervision.
• Collect and analyze monthly cost and schedule progress; report variances.
• Support financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting.
• Interface with project team and management levels; follow safety programs.
• Assist in updating project forecasts and progress tracking.
