Job summary

ACM seeks qualified candidates for entry-level to consultant-level roles with hands-on experience in construction, utility, and heavy industrial sectors. Project Controls Engineers should excel in reporting, forecasting, CPM scheduling, and risk management.

We value growth, learning, and leadership while supporting a diverse client base. Travelers should expect relocation discussions as needed; 2–20+ years of experience is welcome.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience with project controls in construction/manufacturing/utilities preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project/Primavera P6 and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain forecasts and schedules.
  • Support supervisor through forecast updates reflecting current plans/requirements.
  • Develop detailed schedules with construction management and update construction forecast.
  • Provide on-the-job training to clerical and entry-level personnel.

Job description

ACM seeks qualified candidates for entry-level, mid-level, senior-level, and consultant-level work who have hands-on experience within the construction, utility, and/or heavy industrial industries.

Project Controls Engineers should be experienced in reporting, forecasting, critical path method schedule management, and risk management.

Engineers can also be experienced in supporting supervisor through preparation and maintenance of forecasts and schedules, developing detailed schedules with construction management, supervising the updating of construction forecast to reflect most current plans/requirements, and performing on-the-job training to clerical and entry level professional personnel.

We are seeking professionals open to growth, learning, and leading while supporting a diverse client base. ACM seeks those with 2 to 20+ years of experience. Over the past 41 years, ACM clients have resided in every industry, however, our work is concentrated on construction projects within the manufacturing, utility, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, and institutional industries.

Requirements
  • Willingness to travel (and relocation discussions when applicable);
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience;
  • Microsoft® Project and Office, Primavera P6 experience; or with an off-the-shelf project management system.
Additional Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on construction, manufacturing, and/or utility experience;
  • Earned Value Management experience;
  • Budgeting, Forecasting, and/or Risk Management experience;
  • Professional licenses and/or certifications (PE, CCP, EVP, PMP, etc.).
