Job summary

Centrus Energy seeks a Project Controls Engineer to help power the future by providing insights, planning and controls that keep major energy projects on schedule and within budget. You’ll collaborate with Project managers and CAMs, turning numbers into strategy to support informed decisions every step of the way.

You will develop baselines with the team, drive schedule and cost performance, manage critical path, provide actionable cost/schedule analysis, and identify risks early to keep

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of project controls experience supporting engineering, construction, or similar projects.
• 3+ years of experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• 3+ years of experience with Project Management Cost Processors (PMCP), Cobra, or similar cost management systems.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Architect project baselines: develop integrated baselines schedules and cost estimates in collaboration with the project team.
• Drive performance: monitor and update schedule/cost performance weekly/monthly.
• Manage the critical path: analyze and maintain the critical path and identify bottlenecks.
• Provide actionable insights: perform in-depth cost/schedule analysis and proactive reporting to CAMs and leadership.
• Mitigate risk: identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Trend analysis & forecasting: analyze trends and offer feasible recommendations.
• Control changes: lead change control to ensure scope changes are captured.

Pay:

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $76,010 - $126,683. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
