CDM Smith is seeking a driven Project Controls Specialist Student to gain real-world experience in earned value management and project scheduling. Under direct supervision, you will support the project delivery team by developing basic baselines and tracking cost and schedule progress.

You will analyze variances, assist in forecasting, and prepare routine financial reports while adhering to safety and internal procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; pursuing a Masters degree.
• Enrolled in Masters degree program.
• Basic understanding of Earned Value Management and scheduling principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing cost and schedule baselines for basic projects.
• Collect and analyze monthly cost and schedule progress; identify variances.
• Support implementation of financial controls and forecasting techniques.
• Interface with project team and management; follow safety programs.
• Document and report project cost status and trends.
• Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts for basic projects.
