Job summary

Westinghouse’s WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Project Controls professional for a 12-month assignment at the North Anna Nuclear Plant in Mineral, VA. Responsibilities include developing cost controls, preparing budgets, and monitoring cost/schedule against plans.

The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years in cost controls, a Bachelor in Construction Management or Engineering, and strong data reporting and presentation skills. On-site work with opportunities to collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor preferred in Construction Management or Engineering
• 2-3+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of cost controls principles
• Good verbal/writing/presentation skills
• Work and project management skills
• Ability to verify data and present statistical reports and documentation

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and coordinate planning, estimating and cost controls for power station construction projects.
• Prepare cost estimates and develop detailed power station construction project schedules.
• Develop cost plan based on approved estimates and schedules.
• Monitor actual project cost and work status data to ensure project is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
• Prepare budgets and analyze monthly cost reports.
• Implement controls systems. Coordinate use of controls equipment and facilities.
• Conduct meetings with contractors and company personnel on cost control matters.
• Communicate with other departments to coordinate and integrate support requirements on construction schedules.
• Evaluate project field and scope changes for impact on cost or schedule and update project budgets.
