Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager with a strong background in LNG or Combined Cycle power generation projects. In this contract role, you will oversee project controls activities across cost, scheduling, and risk to ensure alignment with project scope, budget, and milestones. This position requires a solid understanding of the Stage Gate process, as well as strong communication and coordination skills across engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

This position will be based on site in Vicksburg, MS (5 days per week) with an option to work 9/80s. Candidates will initially travel to The Woodlands, TX prior to mobilizing to the project site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of project controls systems for cost, schedule, and risk management.
• Apply the Stage Gate process to ensure all deliverables are complete and compliant prior to advancing project stages.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6; perform progress tracking, critical path analysis, and forecasting.
• Prepare cost and performance reports, variance analyses, and executive summaries to communicate project status and recommendations.
• Collaborate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive performance and maintain schedule and budget discipline.
• Facilitate change management, risk reviews, and contingency planning.
• Ensure compliance with corporate procedures, project governance standards, and PMI best practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in project controls (cost, schedule, and risk management).
• Proven experience in Combined Cycle or LNG capital projects.
• Demonstrated experience applying the Stage Gate process.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6; experience with SAP or other project management software preferred.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
• PMI or equivalent project management certification preferred.
