• Review online ASQ screenings; help parents understand their child's development
• Make referrals and connect parents to community resources
• Provide transition support among early childhood systems including APS
• Participate in professional development to promote growth
• Accept other reasonable responsibilities

Reports to: Project Connect CFCE Coordinator

Job Goal: To provide education and support to parents of young children, promote school readiness, strengthen the school/family connection, and foster a sense of community.

Job Responsibilities

• Facilitate parent/child playgroups and activities that are developmentally appropriate at the center and in the community with a focus on early literacy
• Provide parenting workshops and education that focus on a variety of topics including early literacy, positive discipline, nutrition, etc.
• Participate in outreach activities to promote the program and recruit new families.
• Review online ASQ, ASQ-SE screenings, help parents understand their child's development
• Make referrals and connect parents to available resources in the community
• Provide transition support among the early childhood mixed delivery system including the Attleboro Public Schools
• Participate in professional development to promote personal and professional growth
• Accept all other reasonable responsibilities

Work Year: Per contract, grant funded

• 19 hours per week, Monday-Friday, some Saturdays possible
• Playgroups generally scheduled during the morning
• We follow the APS calendar with limited summer playgroups at local parks/playgrounds
• Occasional evening if facilitating a parent education program

Compensation: $22-$24 per hour depending upon education
