Job summary

Leidos is expanding its Undersea Systems Division in Lynnwood, WA to support DoD programs with cutting-edge subsea technologies. The production planning leader will coordinate with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure timely material flow and production scheduling for multiple development and production programs.

Strong experience with Deltek Costpoint MRP or similar systems is required, along with lean manufacturing expertise and the ability to navigate full product lifecycles

Qualifications

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint MRP or similar system.
  • Background in lean and batch manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to work in a full product lifecycle environment from development through production.
  • Production planning background with complex electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the production planning effort for multiple programs.
  • Coordinate with engineering, CM, production management and procurement for scheduling.
  • Create and maintain Kanban Board and Burndown Chart on the shop floor.
  • Use MRP tool to drive purchasing, kitting and Work Orders to production floor.
  • Establish standard work procedures aligned with project manufacturing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with quality, inventory, manufacturing engineering and planners to synchronize flow.
  • Deliver documentation to procurement to expedite purchasing.

Our Lynnwood, WA facility is expanding its operations based on significant business growth and is seeking new talent to join our world-class lean manufacturing team. Primary Responsibilities
  • Leading the production planning effort for multiple development and production programs.
  • Coordinating directly with engineering, configuration management, production management and procurement to ensure accurate, timely scheduling of material and work order flow.
  • Creating and maintaining the Kanban Board and Burndown Chart located at the shop floor.
  • Using the Manufacturing Requirements Planning tool to drive purchasing and orchestrate kitting and Work Orders to the production floor.
  • Establishing standard work procedures consistent with project manufacturing methodologies.
  • Working directly with quality control, inventory management, manufacturing engineering and material planners to ensure a harmonious and synchronized operational flow.
  • Gathering and delivering documentation to procurement to expedite the purchasing process.
  • Resolving impediments to achieving aggressive delivery constraints.
Basic Qualifications
  • Practical knowledge of Deltek Costpoint MRP or similar system.
  • Background in lean and batch manufacturing practices and environments.
  • Ability to work in a full product lifecycle environment from product development through production transition and beyond.
  • Product development and production planning background with complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work productively, collaboratively, and independently.
  • Must work on-site in Lynnwood, not a remote work position.
  • Secret security clearance or the ability to attain one. US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA degree and 6-10 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Background in Department of Defense (DoD) business.
  • Experience with PLM/ERP/MES enterprise software.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00
