Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented research assistant to support two NIH-funded grants focused on outreach, genetic education, and cancer genetics testing among survivors. You will screen electronic health records, recruit participants, and conduct usability testing sessions.

You will also perform telephone surveys, monitor milestones, and manage study data with QA processes, while reviewing medical charts for eligibility and pathology details.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a behavioral science or public health field.
• At least one year of public health or social science research experience with human subjects and data management.
• Experience with REDCap, MS Access, SPSS, SAS or R for data handling and analysis.

• Conducts electronic health record review to identify eligible patients
• Recruits eligible cancer survivors and conducts intervention usability testing sessions
• Conducts telephone-based study surveys and monitors study milestones
• Maintains files, conducts quality assurance, and performs database programming
• Collects behavioral and epidemiological data through interviews and confirms subject eligibility
• Reviews patient charts for pathology information and approaches potential study participants

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. in a behavioral science or public health related discipline
• At least one year of public health or social science research experience that includes interaction with human subjects and data management
• Experience with database software (REDCap, MS Access)
• Experience with statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R)
