Job summary

Smith Sinnett Architecture, based in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Project Architect to join our Raleigh studio. For 50 years we have partnered with communities across North Carolina to design K-12, higher education, civic, state, municipal, public safety, and community-centered facilities.

You will lead architectural development from concept through construction, coordinate with consultants, and ensure technically sound documents while mentoring emerging professionals.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture required.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Licensed or actively pursuing licensure preferred.
• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, building systems, codes, and construction documentation.
• Experience with sustainable building rating systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural development of projects through all phases of design and construction.
• Translate design concepts into coordinated, technically sound project documents.
• Prepare and coordinate drawings, specifications, details, and other construction documents; coordinate with consultants and internal team.
• Support code analysis, quality control, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
• Prepare and present design concepts, diagrams, renderings, and project materials for client and stakeholder review.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, work plans, and technical coordination.
• Collaborate with firm leaders and project managers to deliver high-quality design and client service.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to emerging professionals.
