Qualifications

• A professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited institution
• 10+ years of experience in a professional architecture environment
• Strength in architectural design and visual representation through Sketchup, Enscape, Photoshop, or other programs and workflows
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit; additional proficiency in Rhino, Sketchup, Enscape, AutoCAD, or other 3D modeling and rendering programs is desirable
• Knowledge of project management, materials, project design, and preparation of drawings from schematic design through construction documents
• Experience in all conventional aspects of architecture
• Experience in all phases and aspects of a project
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work in a collaborative, professional manner
• Able to problem-solve with attention to detail and a desire to learn
• Able to work independently with little supervision
• Architectural license/registration (required)
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP with Specialty (optional)
• Active NCARB record (optional)

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts based on given criteria; use feedback to modify designs
• Work collaboratively with other team members as to best approach
• Work on high-level tasks and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously
• Produce sets of production documents in both design development and construction documentation phases
• Increase required technical and functional skills in related technologies, including drafting/modeling/rendering software (Autodesk Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Sketchup, AutoCAD, automation or AI platforms, or other programs); graphics software (Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and InDesign); office software (Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook); and other programs relevant to the profession including Bluebeam Revu, Workday, and others
• Act as a project manager for small and medium projects and teams
• Develop relationships and interact with clients
• Communicate with client agents, subcontractors, and consultants
• Participate in professional development activities and initiatives, both inside and outside the firm
• Build and maintain a network of connections within the industry; attend events central to the firm’s strengths and goals
• Mentor and develop team members
• Any other duties as assigned
