Job summary

Ratcliffe Architects is seeking a Project Architect with 3–6 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will lead project coordination from concept to construction documentation, develop detailed drawings and specifications, and produce compelling presentation materials and 3D renderings.

Joining a boutique Baltimore County firm, you will collaborate with engineers and consultants while maintaining high design standards and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires professional degree in Architecture
• 3–6 years of professional experience in architecture
• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of architectural documentation and design process
• Understanding of permitting, codes and construction practices
• Attention to detail, organization and problem solving
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects from concept through construction documentation
• Develop construction documents, specs and details per codes and regulations
• Produce high-quality presentation materials and 3D renderings
• Assist with design concepts, space planning, material selections and visualization
• Serve as primary contact with engineers and consultants
• Review drawings and specs to maintain project standards
• Manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Conduct site visits, review submittals, process RFIs and coordinate with contractors
