Job summary

Smith Sinnett Architecture in Raleigh seeks a Project Architect to lead the architectural development of projects through all design and construction phases. You will translate concepts into coordinated, technically sound project documents and coordinate with consultants.

Prepare drawings, specifications, and construction details, support code analysis, bidding, and CA. You will mentor emerging professionals and collaborate with firm leaders to deliver high-quality design and client service.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture required.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• Architect licensure preferred or actively pursued.
• Proficiency in architectural detailing, building systems, codes, and docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural development of projects through all phases of design and construction.
• Translate design concepts into coordinated, technically sound project documents.
• Prepare and coordinate drawings, specifications, details, and other construction documents.
• Coordinate architectural work with consultants and internal project team members.
• Support code analysis, quality control, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
• Prepare and present design concepts, diagrams, renderings, and project materials for client and stakeholder review.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, work plans, and technical coordination.
• Collaborate with firm leaders and project managers to deliver high-quality design and exceptional client service.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to emerging professionals.

For 50 years, we have partnered with communities across North Carolina to design K-12, higher education, civic, state, municipal, public safety, and community-centered facilities. • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and various rendering software
• Experience with public-sector projects is a plus
