Job description

We are seeking to add a Project Architect to our growing and talented Design-Build Company. Studio 109 Designs, LLC is PWCampbell’s full-service, in-house architecture and design division. This position requires the individual to be construction minded, a strong communicator, and detail focused.

Objectives of this Role

Collaborate with both internal and external project stakeholders to develop comprehensive construction documents for financial and commercial building ventures.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the production of architectural construction documents and specifications for building designs prepared by in-house design architects.
2. Identify, troubleshoot and reconcile constructability issues when translating schematic designs to construction documents.
3. Coordinate and integrate engineering elements into a design.
4. Coordinate with multiple disciplines to integrate engineering elements into unified designs.
5. Ensure compliance with the company’s quality assurance policies and project delivery procedures.
6. Revise drawings using mark-ups from Principal Architects.
7. Implement in-house construction documentation checklist to develop and revise drawings.
8. Collaborate with the team to finalize construction permit drawings.
9. Stay updated on advancements in technologies and techniques.
10. Have a strong understanding of construction techniques and systems and the ability to properly document them.
11. Translate design drawings and renderings into a comprehensive set of construction documents.
12. Identify and resolve constructability and coordination issues.
13. Perform other duties and functions as assigned.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
2. Architectural License or in process of obtaining.
3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in architectural construction drawing production and coordination is required.
4. Above average computer skills.
5. Expertise in AutoDesk Revit and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, SketchUp, and Enscape is preferred but not required.
6. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally on a one-to-one basis and in front of groups.
7. Ability to read and review construction drawings.
8. Ability to solve problems with diplomacy and to think and work independently and within a team.
9. Strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time.
