Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Project Architect in Hoffman Estates, IL to contribute from schematic design through construction administration. You will liaise with project management, other architects, and consultants, and help drive design and documentation for diverse projects.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (three days in office, two days from home) with flexible hours. A professional architectural degree and licensure are required, with 7+ years of experience preferred.

Job Title: Project Architect Job Description. Join our dynamic team as a Project Architect, where you will participate in conceptual designs and provide full support throughout entire projects. You will plan and develop complex architectural projects, from schematic design through construction administration, liaising with project management, other architects, and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Develop and represent lead technical viewpoints on projects.
• Coordinate with the Principal and Principal-In-Charge on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies.
• Oversee a staff of architects and technicians.
• Provide professional consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in construction documents and architecture.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
• Ability to design and develop architectural projects using Adobe Creative Suite, including elevation and detail production.
• Experience in site survey, zoning, and managing retail and commercial projects.
• Competence in QA/QC, design development, and construction administration.

Work Environment

Experience a close-knit family environment where a supportive culture is prioritized. The architectural team is divided into a production group and a project management group, and this role will be part of the production team. The team comprises 17 people, and work is carried out in a hybrid schedulethree days in the office and two days from home. Flexible start and finish hours are offered, with typical hours being 8 am to 5 pm. The company handles diverse project types, including retail stores, restaurants, fuel stations, travel centers, dispensaries, tenant improvements, and veterinarian hospitals.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
