Job summary

Summit Design and Engineering Services seeks a Registered Architect in Colorado to lead the production of contract documents and deliverables, oversee budgets and schedules, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and public entities. You will serve as Architect of Record on multiple projects.

Ideal candidates are highly proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD, understand drawing conventions and codes in Colorado, and can travel as required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Architect in Colorado.
• Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Understanding of drawing conventions, file organization, external references.
• Knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials, codes, and costs in Colorado.
• Familiar with permit review processes and jurisdictional requirements in Colorado.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and generate production of contract documents and deliverables under the purview of the Principal Architect(s).
• Assist with bidding and contractor solicitation.
• Monitor and maintain project budgets and schedules.
• Manage working on multiple projects at one time.
• Assist with proposals and contract execution with clients.
• Lead and manage design projects from pre-design through project life cycle.
• Lead and manage hybrid (remote, WFH, in-office) project teams including subconsultant.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and public entities to meet timelines, budget and design intent.
• Serve as Architect of Record.
• Provide Construction Administration services.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Registered Architect in Colorado
• Highly proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD
• Understanding of drawing conventions, file organization, external references, and technical accuracy
• Demonstrated knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques, and costs in the Colorado market
• Demonstrated practical knowledge of general architectural practice including programming, site planning, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering
• Familiar with permit review process and other jurisdictional requirements in Colorado
• Ability to travel as required by job demands
