Job summary

Garney Construction invites students to join our Internship/Co-Op program, offering hands-on experience in the field or in the main office with project management and estimating personnel. You will gain perspective on how we construct our projects and contribute to site surveying, drafting, scheduling, and coordination.

We are seeking candidates currently enrolled in construction management, civil, or mechanical engineering programs who are willing to relocate for the term.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in construction management, civil or mechanical engineering.
• Willing to relocate for the term.

Responsibilities

• Gaining craft experience in the field or in the main office alongside project management and estimating personnel.
• Job site surveying and processing shop drawings.
• Subcontractor coordination and updating as-built documents.
• Working with the scheduling system and detailed drafting.
• Purchasing, material expediting, and invoice verification.
• Inventory analysis and tracking labor and projections.
• Promoting job site safety and daily/periodic report updates.

Education

Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
