Job description

ICF is seeking a Project Analyst (SETA 1) to support science and engineering innovation programs at the National Science Foundation (NSF). Your work will contribute to enabling the U.S. to uphold its leadership in innovation in science and engineering. This is an opportunity to contribute to an important project from its beginning, work with the latest emerging technologies, and all while building a great career at ICF! This position has the potential to be in any of the sections within the Directorate for Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships. Work Location: This role has a hybrid work schedule with some telework, and is based in Alexandria, VA.

What you will do:

What You Will Bring With You (Minimum Requirements):
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of research and development expertise in grants management, project management, and supporting research projects.
  • Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust suitability.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools is required.
What We Would Like You To Bring With You:
  • Master's or PHD degree in equivalent education (advanced degrees will be counted toward the minimum 5-year experience requirement).
  • Preferred experience working in the innovation ecosystem and/or familiarity with a federal government funding research agency in a Science, Engineering, and Technical Assistance (SETA) role.
  • Preferred familiarity with NSF's partnerships landscape study.
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills, including managing research projects, data analysis and visualization, survey implementation, project strategy and management.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing industry-standard project management tools, technical note capture and reporting, and other administrative duties such as scheduling meetings and coordinating deliverable feedback.
  • Strong technical and project management experience aligned with the needs of diverse research and innovation programs.
Professional Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective communication channels with federal technical staff and programmatic contractor personnel.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, familiar with a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $61,232.00 - $104,094.00 Virginia Client Office (VA88)
