Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Project Analyst to support the FAA's Office of Advanced Aviation Technologies within the NISC Program. The role involves data classification, report preparation, and maintaining project databases to enable informed decision-making for eVTOL and AAM initiatives.

You will produce financial and scheduling analyses, draft non-technical and technical documents, and ensure compliance with DOT/FAA guidelines while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and less than two years of prior relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate to various levels of management, multi-tasking, strong organizational skills, budget adherence experience.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Security clearance.

Job description

The Leidos National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) Program is looking for a Project Analyst to support the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Office of Advanced Aviation Technologies (AAT).

The Office of Advanced Aviation Technologies will be the designated point for activities related to the integration of advanced aviation technologies including Advance Air Mobility (AAM), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Supersonic aircraft in United States.The incumbent will support the new Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) Integration Pilot Program (eIPP) partnerships that will enable safe operations and increase automation safety in the National Airspace.

Specifically, this work directly supports the FAA’s safety mission and statutory requirements across multiple functional areas including safety oversight, security, and FAA Reauthorization implementation activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position will provide direct support to various AAM and eIPP Program Managers with the following responsibilities:

  • Classifies and summarizes data for the preparation and submission of reports on a recurring basis.
  • Provide support in developing, updating, and analyzing project databases and tracking programs.
  • Create specialized reports for analysis of financial status, project prioritization, and schedule establishment.
  • Responsible for writing, editing, proofreading and/or providing writing support on non-technical and/or technical documents.
  • Conform to policies, guidelines, and procedures with adherence to plain language guidelines and communication best practices, and FAA Office of Communications (AOC) branding guidelines.
  • Conduct in-depth research for executive briefings, white papers, and program strategies ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT), FAA, and various state and local government regulations.
  • Analyze data from multiple internal and external sources, identify key metrics, and integrate cleansed data in business analytics as well as data visualization tools.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and less than two years of prior relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate to various levels of management, with the capacity to multi-task, strong organizational skills, budget adherence experience, and ability to organize meetings consisting of agency and external stakeholders with a broad range of specialties and interests including members from professional aviation organizations are required.
  • High proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of FAA systems.
  • Current Public Trust Security clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $52,000.00 - $94,000.00
