Job summary

A leading construction firm is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to manage project-level financial reporting and ensure compliance with government contracts. This is a hybrid role located in the Laurel area, offering a competitive base pay of $75,000 to $95,000 plus bonus. The ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction or government contracting, and will work within a collaborative team in downtown DC. Strong knowledge of project accounting principles and proficiency in relevant software are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or government contracting.
• Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and other government contracting compliance requirements.
• Ability to work in-office in downtown DC and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process with a focus on project-level financials.
• Monitor and analyze project budgets, job cost reports, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with project managers and operations staff to ensure accurate financial tracking.
