As a Project Accountant at DN you will manage the day-to-day accounting of construction projects. Working collaboratively with our Operations team, you will own all accounting functions as it pertains to our construction projects. A successful individual in this role will be someone who develops strong relationships, both internally and externally, completes work thoroughly and timely, and upholds budgetary financials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, post and track the monthly requisitions to the owner
• Participate in project forecast updates – CTC/WIP – with Project Managers/Project Engineers
• Monitor/track any over/under billings and work with Project Manager and/or Project Engineer
• Monitor for any potential high-risk projects and work with project management for plan/resolution
• Identify potential job exposures and write-offs
• Procure to Pay – be responsible for processing subcontractor requisitions
• Ensure the subcontractor is complying with terms and conditions of the contract (i.e. insurance, lien releases, waivers, billing procedures, CPR, etc.),
• Monitor and track the cash position of the projects
• Reconciliation with Project Managers/Project Engineers for project closeout
• Responsible for the understanding of owner contracts and subcontracts regarding payment terms and required documents
• Work closely with the Project Managers, Project Engineers and Superintendents on all facets of project accounting and administration.
• Manage cash collection for the project in conjunction with the Project Manager as well as prepare Cash Forecasts.
• Participate in owner, subcontractor and project meetings as required

This is our good faith estimate of the base salary compensation range for this opportunity. Individual pay decisions will vary based upon the experience and qualifications of the applicant. This range is based on market rates and determined by considering many factors such as external market salary survey data, internal data for comparable roles, and the operational and budgetary objectives of the company.
