Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to support billing, accounts payable, and project accounting functions for a growing construction organization. The role focuses on processing invoices, project billing, and job cost accounting in a construction setting.

The position includes on-site responsibilities in Lancaster, PA, with a 7:30 AM-4:30 PM schedule and a contract-to-hire path. Relevant experience in AIA and T&M invoicing, and proficiency in Vista Viewpoint or similar

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable, Project Accounting, or Construction Accounting experience.
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with project billing, job costing, and invoice processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Vista Viewpoint or Vista Construction Management Software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and posting.
• Prepare and manage project billing, including AIA and T&M invoicing.
• Review vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain billing records and project documentation.
• Work closely with Project Managers to support project financial activities.
• Assist with job cost reporting and cost tracking.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and support collections efforts.
• Manage subcontractor documentation, lien waivers, and related records.
• Process payroll-related documentation and certified payroll reports as needed.
• Utilize accounting and construction management software to maintain accurate records.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, PA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
