Job summary

Pepper Construction Group LLC is seeking a Project Accountant to manage owner billings and ensure accurate job costing in line with contracts and internal controls. The role collaborates with project teams to maintain financial accuracy and support successful project outcomes.

The candidate will review contracts, process costs, coordinate billings, and ensure timely payments while monitoring cash flow and compliance with insurance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
• 3 years of accounting related experience, preferred
• Prior billing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in accounting software; CMiC experience is a plus.

• Review owner contracts and identify billing requirements.
• Analyze and process job-related costs in accordance with internal control procedures.
• Coordinate billing with project teams, prepare timely billings, and reconcile job costs to monthly billings.
• Identify and communicate unbilled or late-billed costs.
• Coordinate timely subcontractor payments in exchange for waivers.
• Review and compile waiver packages.
• Facilitate job closeout, prepare final financial performance documents, and reconcile project profit and loss.
• Monitor subcontractor insurance compliance.
• Understand the impact of cash flow on project performance.

POSITION SUMMARY

The salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $90,000. We consider many factors when determining the actual hiring salary. These factors may include location, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, internal equity, and market demands.
