Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Associate to support the Progressive Care Unit. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, document accurately, and assist with mobility and daily activities to ensure high-quality patient experiences.

As a Mercy Health associate, you’ll work 36 hours weekly on a 7p-7:30a shift, with every other weekend and holiday. Benefits include competitive pay and a strong support system.

Qualifications

• BLS Basic Life Support preferred/on hire.
• Completion of nursing aide training program or CNA/STNA path.
• 1 year of clinical experience or PCA/PCT training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN guidance per regulations and policies.
• Report changes to nurse and document care accurately.
• Offer high-level customer service to patients and families.
• Assist with mobility and activities of daily living.
• Carry out delegated tasks once competency is verified.
