Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking PCU RNs to closely monitor patients recently transferred from the ICU and to detect any changes in vital signs that require intervention. Nurses in PCU float to Telemetry or Med/Surg units as needed to ensure appropriate care levels.

The position requires a BSN or ADN with NCLEX licensure and an active state license; ACLS certification is often required. Per diem shifts are available for flexible scheduling.

Job description

PCU RN's closely monitor patients recently released from the ICU before those patients are moved to regular hospital beds. PCU RN'S monitor cardiac and other critical vital signs and detect any changes, thereby enabling intervention of life-threatening, or emergency situations. PCU RN's work in hospitals, and usually will float as needed to work in Tele or Med Surg units.

Education/Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education
• You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.
• RN's can only work with an active state license.
• ACLS is often required
